Match the Crusher to the Material

The right crusher depends on what you're processing. Hard, abrasive materials like granite or basalt typically need a jaw crusher as the primary stage, followed by a cone crusher for finer product. Softer materials like limestone or recycled concrete often work well with impact crushers.

Throughput needed, target product size and operating environment (fixed site versus moving between locations) all shape the right choice.

What To Check On Used Equipment

Key things to inspect on any used crusher: wear on the jaw plates or cone mantles, condition of the bearings and main shaft, hydraulic system integrity, motor and electrical health, structural condition of the frame. We will provide service history where available.

Mobile vs Static

Mobile crushers — tracked or wheeled — give you flexibility to move between job sites and are ideal for contracting work or recycling operations on multiple locations.

Static plants suit fixed sites like quarries or recycling depots where continuous, high-volume production is the priority — lower running costs per tonne, higher capacity, but less flexibility than a mobile unit.

Finance & Total Cost of Ownership

Headline purchase price is only part of the picture. Wear parts, fuel or electricity consumption, transport and installation costs all factor into the real cost per tonne crushed. Used machines often offer the best return on capital — modern features at a fraction of the new price.
